My name is Phil Mennie and I'm freelance web designer and developer. I got interested in the web back in 1999 when I was at school.
I found the way the internet works and how it connects people all over the world fascinating.
I learnt HTML while at school and started writing some websites for departments in my school. I really enjoyed designing sites and learning new
web techniques and so carried on learning the new technologies of the time. When I got to university I got very interested in entrepreneurship and
started a business with a friend building performance computers. We then needed an ecommerce website to sell our computers, so I bought
a few more books and got our site up and running. The company was successful for a while but we then realised that it was to hard for a such a small company to compete in such a market
and we closed the company. Since then I've been studying, playing my drums and working as a successful freelance web designer.
